She co-wrote the screenplay with Andy Mingo, and the film stars Imogen Poots, Jim Belushi, and Thora Birch. Stewart shared that the film is “about birth, death and rebirth, and we sort of followed that cycle. I think you can feel it in the result. At the time, it hurt a lot. The biggest wound of my ‘creative’ life so far. And by far my favourite scar.”

Jolie shimmers in sequinned gown

Angelina Jolie made a dazzling appearance on the Cannes red carpet, wearing a stunning embroidered strapless gown at the premiere of Eddington. The 49-year-old actress looked radiant in a Brunello Cucinelli made-to-measure look made entirely of cashmere and silk, covered in sequins.

She completed her look with Chopard jewellery, wearing a diamond necklace with a pear-shaped centre stone and matching earrings.

Jolie’s appearance at Cannes marks her return to the festival after a 14-year absence.

Aastha Gill’s red carpet debut

Singer Aastha Gill, known for her songs like DJ Wale Babu and Kamariya graced the red carpet of the ongoing 78th Cannes Film festival on Friday. “Walking the red carpet at Cannes was surreal—it felt like a dream woven with years of music, culture, and creativity. I wanted my look to reflect not just who I am as an artist, but also the vibrancy and power of where I come from. I am taking a beautiful experience back from here,” said Aastha.
