Warner Music India had recently announced a new record label, Maati, featuring artistes from across the country. The label’s first single, Runak Jhunak, is a Rajasthani folk fusion song by emerging artiste Kanika. Shot in the beautiful locales of the desert, the song is vibrant and colourful. Kanika says, “I am honoured that they believed in my music, my vision and my talent.”

She adds, “This song is about a carefree, passionate and ambitious girl, who only dances to her own tunes. I first composed the melody and lyrics over piano chords. I hope like me many others from our state and country get a chance to showcase their talent to the world.”
