Punyashlok Ahilyabai has kept viewers glued to their screens as it narrates the epic life story of one of the most legendary women of the Indian history – Rani Ahilyabai Holkar. Recently, the show made headlines as it took a seven year leap and a new chapter unfolded –The Yuva Adhyay. Aetashaa Sansgiri and Gaurav Amlani have been roped in to essay the pivotal characters of Ahilyabai and Khanderao Holkar. Gaurav said, “I believe historical genres have a charm like no other. Being an audio-visual medium, it is almost like magic that we can literally peep into the way life was lived centuries ago. You pick anything to watch in this genre and it is like buying a ticket to peep into that world! So, as an actor getting this opportunity to essay the role of such a complex personality like Khanderao Holkar is a blessing. From the way of dressing and lifestyle to understanding the internal and external conflicts of that time is like a crazy time-travel experience for me.”
