Ashlesha Savant is set to make Bollywood debut

After giving almost two decades to the television industry, Ashlesha Savant is now trying her luck on the big screen. Ashlesha made her small screen debut with Ekta Kapoor’s series and soon became a household name. Seen in popular show Anupamaa, the actress has now collaborated with actor-turned- director Sandeep Baswana for a Hindi film titled Haryana.

The movie is set to release in cinemas on August 5. Ashlesha is a leading lady in this movie, playing the role of Bimla opposite actor Yash Tonk. The trailer was launched in Mumbai recently.

The movie showcases the Haryanavi culture and their innocent way of life. Although the film does not have any A-listers, still, Ashlesha is quite confident about the success of the film because of its beautiful storyline and heart-touching songs. She says that content is the king and says that this film has everything that today’s cinema goers expect from a good movie.
