A classic tale where terror meets melody. The Piper is an edge-of-your-seat horror film that spreads its ‘evil’ through a variety of cursed musical instruments.

The film sees the enigmatic Charlotte Hope, as she copes with the loss of her mentor, take up his mantle and continues to finish his concerto. The musical instruments are cursed and playing them unleashes deadly consequences and awakens an ancient evil that can’t be stopped.

Joining Charlotte Hope is a stellar cast of Julian Sands, Alexis Rodney and Kate Nichols. The Piper is set to digitally premiere on Lionsgate Play this January 26.

Speaking about director Erlingur Thoroddsen, lead actress Charlotte Hope says, “Erlingur is an incredibly sensitive, intelligent director. I’ve never seen him stressed, I’ve never seen him panic. His direction is intuitive and insightful which I think is quite rare.”

Erlingur says, “I feel so lucky to have gotten the cast that I got. Everybody fits the role perfectly. Charlotte is amazing. Literally, 10 seconds after seeing her do the first lines I just felt she is Mel. We had a meeting after that, and we just hit it off. We saw the character in the same way. She is in almost every scene. She’s been a great partner in crime and a fantastic collaborator.”
