How did the transition from an engineer to an actor happen?

I always wanted to work for a big corporates as I was very much interested in coding. Life took a turn when I was offered a Telugu movie (yet to release). That was the time I realised that acting is my cup of tea.

How did the character in the show help you to explore acting?

In the ongoing show I play a negative and positive shade. The show also taught me how to deal with the outside world.

What is your take on social media trolling?

I think it’s just one of the disadvantages of living in the virtual era, where people, who are sitting behind walls, are writing negatively about you. I really don’t get affected by it.

Do you believe that an actor can grow only by playing lead characters?

I don’t believe that. The best example is Johnny Lever sir, he is irreplaceable. His timing, his aura, his ability to mould himself for a character can never be matched. So, it’s you who decide your way!

Does luck really play an important role in an actor’s career?

I feel luck plays an important role as thousands of people audition for a particular role but only one gets selected. So, the chances increase with luck, and I can say that 70 per cent would be hard work and 30 per cent luck.

What’s next for you after this show?

I believe this show is going to go on for a long period and I want to live life one day at a time.

Any advice that you want to give to aspiring actors?

One piece of advice would be—if you want to be an actor, don’t get scared of rejections. Whenever you get rejected, a better opportunity is waiting for you.
