I will miss my riyaaz the most: Singer Neha Bhasin

Singer Neha Bhasin will be seen in Bigg Boss OTT on Voot, which will premiere on August 8. Here’s a chit-chat with Neha

What motivated you to take up Bigg Boss OTT?

Bigg Boss has been trying to reach me for quite some time now! This year, due to the pandemic, I had some time off and so was a part of a creative meeting with the Bigg Boss team. Later, I said yes.

What’s your family’s reaction?

My mother was a bit upset, but when I was determined to do this, she supported me wholeheartedly. My husband is very sweet and told me –‘just be yourself inside the house and let people see the real you’.

As they say, Bigg Boss can make your career. What do you think?

In a way it is true, but when the show has not made my career how it will break it? Inside the house, how I am going to behave is my responsibility. I am a fearless person, have a very clean career graph and am going to maintain that.

What will you miss the most inside the house?

I will miss my riyaaz the most. They are not even allowing me to carry my tanpura! My teacher is upset about it. And my pet – whom I am very attached to! I am hoping it’s a small sacrifice and the outcome is going to be big.

How do you find Karan Johar as a host?

It will be a great fun to see him as a host. I am sure this is going to be different from what Salman Khan does for the television show.

How content are you with your music career?

Contentment means you are not looking forward to anything else. I would say I am very grateful and thankful for all that I have achieved. I have a great career, but yes it could have been better. I am married to music since the age of nine and this marriage is still going on nicely. I am loyal to this marriage and it will go on till my last breath!

How competitive are you in real life?

Once I go inside the house, I will get to know more about it.

For the last one-and-a-half years, live concerts are not happening. You must be missing them?

I did my last live show in March 2020. I am missing live audience badly. So, it’s a tough time. Entertainment cannot be neglected; thanks to Bigg Boss that I have got this opportunity.
