Marvel’s upcoming movie, Thor: Love and Thunder is a series of firsts in the Marvel universe. For the first time ever, an MCU superhero bagged his fourth individual movie. The widely loved Captain America and Iron Man had three individual movies, respectively, to their names.

Moreover, it’s for the first time that there are so many female superheroes in a single franchise—from Natalie Portman’s Mighty Thor and Valkyrie to Mantis and Nebula. On working with Natalie Portman, Chris Hemsworth says, “Natalie was hugely enthusiastic and up for anything collaborative. She has a great sense of humour. This is very different direction for the character, so it was like a rebirth. She was up for it. It was so much fun.”

Furthermore, Portman’s character will now be able to wield Thor’s weapon — Mjolnir. Chris adds, “Mjolnir comes back and chooses her, and she becomes the Mighty Thor. Jane wants to make the most of it and go on an adventure to save people. She wants to do her bit and very selflessly marches forward on this quest with Thor and the team.” — TMS
