A video of celebrity hairstylist Jawed Habib went viral on Thursday in which he is seen spitting on a woman’s head. Later, he issued an apology through a video message. He said, “Some words spoken by me during my seminar have hurt a few people. I just want to say one thing— these are professional workshops, as in, they are attended by people from within our profession. When these sessions get very long, we have to make them humorous. What can I say? If you are truly hurt, I apologise from the bottom of my heart. Please forgive me, I am sorry.”—TMS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
