Costumes can make or break a show! 420 IPC, which is set to premiere on ZEE5 on December 17, has costumes designed by Jyoti Madnani Singh. Known for her work in Rahasya, Mumbaikar, T for Tajmahaland Barroz, to name a few, she has now styled the looks of the suspense drama.

Speaking about this project, Jyoti says, “This is my third film with Manish Gupta. I have been fortunate to read all his scripts since our first association with highly acclaimed film Rahasya. I am aware that he makes realistic cinema with no song-dance affair and that brings its own challenges.”

She adds, “When I read the script for 420 IPC, I was completely unaware of the style, and started doing rounds of courtroom, police station, CA’s office etc. to familiarise myself with their dressing sense. Post my research, I presented the costume deck to Manish ji, and to my relief he approved them . While most directors ask me to concentrate on the main protagonists, Manish ji is also very specific about the look and style of secondary and tertiary cast.”
