After a year that it has been, 2020 brought in good news for actress Kanica Maheshwari. Her movie Forever Whim, which has won critical acclaim, has been bought by a premium digital platform for a worldwide premier and this marks her debut in the world of web. Rising to instant fame after her role in the hit show Diya Aur Baati Hum, Kanica tried to widen her horizons and quickly jumped into a promising project; she worked as a writer-producer for a short film that won awards at Melbourne City Independent Film awards and also Chicago South Asian Film festival, and more.

An ecstatic Kanica says, “The best things happen to me when I don’t plan them. This is one such thing. This film was made in 2018 and categorically for the purpose of sending it to various film festivals. We did bring home a couple of awards too and it was very gratifying, but I hadn’t really thought that one day it would premiere on a digital platform.”
