The content created for web series is very exciting. Just watching the performances charges up the actor in you. I feel it’s a great time for actors because of the characters being written.

Tell us more about your new web series.

The show is called Escaype Live and it’s a tech thriller. We are not allowed to give out the story. All I can say is that the preparation has been fantastic with multiple readings and we have spent two days on the sets just staging which I have never done on TV.

Web series involve bold scenes. Will you do it if the script demands?

I would like to avoid bold scenes due to my sports background and the business that I run. The students of my tennis academy follow my career so I have to keep it in mind.

What changes have you noticed in the TV industry over the years?

The TV content, I feel, has not changed much. However, there are a few good concept-based shows. My wife Namrata is a writer and I get to know the latest trends.

What kind of role would you like to do?

I would love to do a role on television which I can relate to. I have played rural characters so an urban character would be nice.

How do you balance your tennis academy and acting?

I have a very good team of coaches. The day-to-day functioning is taken care of by my administrative team. So, it’s all smooth sailing till now.

How do you unwind after a hard day’s work?

Watching good shows is my mantra for relaxing. That’s something I love doing every night. I love watching films too.
