National Award-winning director Umesh Shukla, of Oh My God! and 102 Not Out fame, is all set to direct a movie on India’s ‘infamous’ public prosecutor Ujjwal Nikam. The project will be produced by Umesh Shukla, Sejal Shah, Ashish Wagh, Gaurav Shukla and Bhavesh Mandalia. Nikam through the movie will try and tell the untold story of the man behind the most fascinating, controversial, and toughest cases ever fought in India. The movie will be written by National Award-winning writer Bhavesh Mandalia and Gaurav Shukla.

Shared Nikam, “I have been pursued for years to write a book or make a movie on my life. I was reluctant as I have a huge responsibility towards my victims. But I agreed to collaborate with this talented team.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
