Unraveling all those intertwined set of events happened in an ancient archaeological site, Sinauli and mysteries behind it is the new job of Manoj Bajpayee as he turns host for Discovery’s new documentary, Secrets of Sinauli: Discovery of the Century in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

Although I knew about Sinauli earlier this documentary was still an eye-opener in many ways. — Manoj Bajpayee

Says Manoj, “I always had an interest in history and although I knew about Sinauli earlier this documentary was still an eye-opener in many ways. There are many interpretations of history and shows like these add much more to the perspective we have on Indian history. The narration part comes much later after the careful study and research done by people associated at various levels in this documentary.”

Other than this, Manoj will soon be seen in The Family Man, Season 2 on Amazon Prime Video.

Praising Raghav Jairath, who has directed the documentary, producer Neeraj Panday says, “I am happy for him that he has taken such a good project that will encourage people to revisit history. He has been assisting me for quite some time and I hope people will see how talented he is.”

Manoj too commended the lengths Raghav has gone to make this fascinating story available for the masses. He adds, “Having worked with Neeraj in so many projects, I can only say that I trust him blindly. I never give up a chance to work with him.”

The documentary covers the timeline of the finds in Sinauli, located in Bhagpat district, UP, the artifacts, which include a 4,000-year-old chariot, copper weapons and warrior burials, and those people who were involved at each stage of discovery. Meanwhile, Discovery Plus’ India Special shows like Ladakh Warriors: The Sons of The Soil and Mission Frontline that had Randeep Hooda and Rana Daggubati released earlier has also managed to achieve the channel’s aim to give more Indian content to its viewers.
