Meet Dinesh Sudarshan Soi, the multi-talented casting director from Gurdaspur

Casting director-turned-director Dinesh Sudarshan Soi is among the top 10 ‘All-time Best Casting Directors of Bollywood’ as ranked by Google. The other names in the list include Mukesh Chhabra, Shanoo Sharma, Vicky Sidana, Atul Mongia, Jogi Malang, Shruti Mahajan, Abhishek Banerjee, Honey Trehan and Nandini Shrikent. Not just that, Dinesh is also bringing global recognition to the Indian casting fraternity by holding world records for maximum castings in his kitty! He has three casting records to his credit. These include his name in India Book of Records for 4,500 castings, Asia Book of Records for 5,000 castings and Bravo’s International Book of World Records for completing 6,000 casting projects.

Born in a small town, Kalanaur, of district Gurdaspur in Punjab, Dinesh has even acted in Star Plus show Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya and won hearts. It was while working for the daily soap that he started as a casting director and then there was no looking back. Dinesh says, “My daughter Maesha Soi is my lucky charm. Only good things are happening to me since she has entered my life.”
