Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota and singer Sonia Vaid have teamed up for a new ghazal, Dosti Pyar Wafa, set for release by Shemaroo. The duet is seen as a follow-up to Vaid’s earlier works and marks a notable addition to the world of ghazal music.

The entire album was recorded at the Lata Mangeshkar Studio, lending it an air of classical authenticity. Music and composition are helmed by Ranbir Kumar, a renowned ghazal singer and composer celebrated for his dedication to promoting the genre. The lyrics are penned by acclaimed poet Akhtar Azad Sahab, adding depth and poetic nuance to the album.

Sonia Vaid said the collaboration with Anup Jalota reflects a harmonious blend of their artistic journeys, promising a memorable experience for ghazal enthusiasts. The album is expected to enrich and contribute significantly to contemporary ghazal music.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
