Can you share how your modelling journey began, and when did you realize your interest in pursuing a career in showbiz?

My journey in modelling actually started during my school days in Kolkata. It was around 2013 when I first stepped into the world of modelling, and my interest in showbiz began to grow.

I am open to exploring various genres, but I am particularly drawn to roles that challenge me and allow me to showcase my versatility as an actress.

Coming from a joint family background, what challenges did you face?

Coming from an orthodox joint family, the decision to pursue modelling wasn’t without its challenges. Convincing my family about my passion and overcoming societal norms was an initial hurdle I had to navigate.

The Queen of Bengal pageant in 2013 marked a crucial moment in your career. How did this experience shape your decision to pursue modelling professionally?

The Queen of Bengal pageant was a turning point. It boosted my confidence and made me realise the potential within me. It gave me the courage to take modelling more seriously.

Your great-grandfather, Dulal Dutta, had a significant influence on your early training. How did his mentorship contribute to your understanding of visual arts and the filmmaking process?

My great-grandfather’s mentorship exposed me to the captivating world of cameras and filmmaking. His guidance laid the foundation for my understanding of visual arts, lighting setups, and the intricacies of shooting.

You made a significant move to Mumbai in 2020. What motivated this decision, and how has this transition impacted your career and personal growth?

I shifted to Mumbai in pursuit of bigger opportunities. The move has opened up new avenues for me, providing a diverse platform and allowing me to explore different aspects of the industry.

How was the experience of working in your recent music video, Tera Main Deewana?

Being a part of Tera Main Deewana was wonderful. Suman Guha directed the project, and working with Vipin Bhardwaj was delightful. Their guidance and support were invaluable, turning this experience into a cherished chapter in my career.

You mentioned that working with Vipin Bhardwaj was a delightful experience. Can you share some insights into the collaboration and the dynamics on the set of the music video?

Vipin Bhardwaj was incredibly cooperative. The chemistry on set was fantastic, and the collaborative spirit made the filming process enjoyable. Suman Guha’s guidance was crucial, especially during moments where I made mistakes.
