Babil Khan forayed into the world of acting with director Anvitaa Dutt’s psychological drama Qala last year. He won praise for his nuanced performance as Jagan. He also won hearts with his charming and humbling personality.

Babil, known for his unique fashion style, won the Super Stylish Rising Star Male award at Pinkvilla Style Icons awards recently. Receiving an award is a wonderful accomplishment, but what made it even more special was that he received it from his mother, Sutapa Khan. Undoubtedly, it was a moment to be celebrated.

After receiving the award from his mother, Babil said, “People keep asking me who my fashion idol is. Mumma it’s you, and I think this (award) is for you because you are my most stylish rising star forever, and I love you, mumma. Thank you so much for everything. I love you so much.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
