Rapper The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, earned praise for directing $2.5 million from his XO Humanitarian Fund to aid the World Food Programme’s humanitarian response in Gaza.

The Weeknd’s act arrived nearly a month after his ex Selena Gomez’s make-up brand pledged to help Palestinians.
