Film fraternity is gearing up to resume shoots

After television, now the film fraternity is also gearing up to resume shoots. Producers have started working on schedules, closing on actors’ dates and finalising locations. Here’s a list of top projects that are all set to go on the floors soon.

Off to Scotland

Akshay Kumar, along with team, is all set to fly to Scotland within the next couple of days to kick-start the shoot of Bellbottom. Talking about resuming shoot, Akshay Kumar says, “Pooja Entertainment has laid down a safety plan for our shooting schedule abroad. We hope these measures help us accomplish a smooth and safe shoot.”

KGF 2

The makers of Yash and Sanjay Dutt-starrer KGF 2 will be resuming the shoot from August 15 in Karnataka. Reportedly, 90 per cent of the film is complete and 25 days of shoot has been left, which includes a few major action sequences. Executive producer of the film, Karthik Gowda says, “We will be following strict guidelines on the sets and have all the technicians temporarily camped at a nearby hotel. They will not be allowed to venture out.”

Mumbai Saga

The shoot of Sanjay Gupta’s Mumbai Saga, which star John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Suniel Shetty, Jackie Shroff, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy and Prateik Babbar, was halted due to the lockdown. Now, the film is set to go on floors once again at a studio in Mumbai around August 15.

Bunty Aur Babli 2

Bunty Aur Babli 2 makers have reportedly decided to resume the film’s shoot by August end in Mumbai. The second instalment of the cult film will have a fresh pair, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Sharvari, along with Rani Mukherjee and Saif Ali Khan. The team had earlier shot at Abu Dhabi and apparently 10-15 days of shoot is still remaining, which will be completed soon while ensuring all safety precautions.

Sherni

The makers of Vidya Balan-starrer Sherni: Call Of The Wild will resume shooting in the first week of October. As 65 per cent of the shoot remains, the schedule will begin in Balaghat, Madhya Pradesh.

Radhe

Salman Khan and Disha Patani had been working on Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai before the lockdown was announced. Now, the team is set to resume at a studio in Mumbai in October. The international schedule has been cancelled. The action sequence will also be shot in a Mumbai studio. There are 10-12 days of work left on the film, according to sources.

Vicky Kaushal’s untitled film

Vicky Kaushal is all set for his first YRF project. The shoot of this yet untitled film will start in November. A source shares, “This yet untitled film is part of YRF’s Project 50 that will see Aditya Chopra celebrate 50 years of Yash Raj Films.”

In the web 7th Sense

Ameesha Patel, Prateik Babbar and Elli AvrRam join the celebrity star cast of 7th Sense web series, which is set to begin from August 6 in UAE. Ameesha Patel, who is making her debut in the digital medium with this series, says, “I am excited to start shooting in UAE, a country that I am so fond of and visit very often. I love the people, the culture and more.”
