It was sweet and sour. Initially, it was very good and many people liked it. The story was running at a very good pace, but then the lockdown happened. Sarthak was a challenging character because I got to play many shades. I will always remember this character because it taught me a lot of things both in real and reel life.

The show went off air abruptly. Your comment?

The show got affected because of the lockdown, and the channel and producers decided not to continue further. I don’t know the real reason and I don’t even want to. I gave my best to the show. That was my job.

How would you describe shooting in the new normal?

The whole compound of Ramdev City was closed and our temperature and oxygen levels were checked every time we entered the set. Sanitisation was properly done, mask, and all other precautions were taken care of. Though maintaining social-distance was difficult because we had to do lots of scenes together but we were taking precautions. So, it was safe.

What kind of a role are you looking for?

I would like to play a character with grey shade, do a vampire kind of series, or maybe a love story with a twist. I am open to these kinds of shows. However, I have learnt that we don’t choose shows, the shows choose us.

What changes are you getting to see in the TV industry after the lockdown?

The industry is picking up fast. So, that’s a good sign. As far as I know, we need to be in form and create good content.

Do you think it’s the case of survival of the fittest in the industry?

I don’t think ‘survival of the fittest’ is a good term. But nothing is more important than real talent. If you are co-operative then definitely you will get the right opportunities. I think talent is more important than any other factor.
