A day after Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide at his Mumbai flat, Punjabi singer Parmish Verma has penned a tribute to the late cine star.

The lines, however, discourage people from taking the extreme step come what may in their life.

Posted in English and Punjabi, the lines encourage one to fight with the impaired inner “self” so as to lead a normal life. He emphasises on sacrificing one’s “self”, an art that can help one stay happy.

In another message, Punjabi singer Diljit Dosang also took to Instagram, where he shared a video of himself on sharing good positive stories during lockdown.

Sushant was found hanging in his Bandra residence on Sunday by his domestic help. He was reportedly battling depression over the past few months and undergoing treatment for the same. His social media posts from the past couple of months reveal that he even tried yoga and meditation to battle his state of mind.

The actor hailed from Bihar and was educated in Patna and New Delhi, before shifting to Mumbai.

After establishing himself on the small screen with “Pavitra Rishta”, he transitioned to the big screen with film “Kai Po Chhe”. He went on to do projects including “Shuddh Desi Romance”, the biopic “M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story”, “Kedarnath” and “Chhichore”, among several others. With Agencies
