Thought-provoking Opinions, Expert Analysis, In-depth Insights and other Member Only BenefitsAfter Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise, many Bollywood celebs have used his reference to spread a word about mental health awareness. However, this doesn’t seem to have gone down well with the late actor’s family. SSR’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti, who’s married to his US-based sister, Shweta Singh Kirti, has warned that strict legal action will be taken against anyone using the actor ‘as a poster boy for mental health’.
Taking to his Twitter handle, Vishal posted a couple of stern messages. He wrote, “@shwetasinghkirt and I don’t endorse any commercialisation in Sushant’s name. If people are doing anything using Sushant’s name, it should not be motivated by profit. The family has not endorsed any for-profit activity using Sushant’s name. For any non-profit activity in Sushant’s name, please get a written clearance from Sushant’s father to prevent getting sued later. No using Sushant as a poster boy for mental health awareness. If the family feels that they have been libeled by any organisation or individual, they will pursue legal recourse.”
