Zee TV’s Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile continues to keep viewers hooked with its emotional twists. In the current storyline, as Raghav (Bharat Ahlawat) and Reet (Ayushi Khurana) find themselves drawn closer amid chaos and danger, Sharda bua (played by Jayati Bhatia) has once again stirred things up with her scheming.

While Sharda bua is known for her sharp moves on-screen, off-screen, Jayati Bhatia is the complete opposite: calm, composed, and deeply in tune with herself. Unlike many actors who use their breaks to nap, Jayati prefers to stay awake and use her time meaningfully on set. Her makeup room, she says, is her favourite corner, a quiet space where she reads, rehearses, and reflects.

Jayati shares, “I love my space in the makeup room, even though it’s closed from all sides, I feel at peace there. Once I’m ready, hair, makeup, costume, I go through my scenes again and again. I don’t nap on set because I prefer to be present. If I sleep deeply, it takes time to come back to earth. Also, I feel my face gets puffed up when I nap,” she laughs.

When she’s not reading her scripts, Jayati enjoys delving into Hindi literature. “These days, I’m reading a wonderful essay by the master satirist Harishankar Parsai, sometimes I listen to an entire music album, or simply sit quietly. I’m not a phone person. I like being by myself, talking to myself, and imagining things. I’ve always had an imaginary world of my own, and I’m very happy in it.”

Her mindful approach to her craft, staying alert, emotionally grounded, and creatively engaged, is what helps Jayati bring such depth to her performance as Sharda bua.
