Actor and comedian Trupti Khamkar rose to fame with her perfect comic timing and now she will be playing the lead role in the upcoming mystery thriller series, Girgit.

Trupti essays the role of Mahi. While talking about the role, the actress says, “Mahi is a simple girl who is stuck in a tricky situation. My character is manipulated by others.”

She adds, “I think it’s a fantastic character. I think Mahi is very close to who I am in real life. Mahi is very real, sweet and genuine. My character is like a child.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.
