Ivan Ayr’s Milestone to premiere globally on Netflix on May 7

The maker of Soni, director Ivan Ayr is all set for his next film titled Milestone. The film will have a global release on Netflix on May 7, 2021. Produced by Kimsi Singh, the film follows the story of a middle-aged truck driver, Ghalib, who is coping with a personal tragedy, while facing the existential threat of losing his job to a young recruit. The events in the story come together as Ghalib’s truck touches the 500,000 kilometers mark — a record at his company.

Talking about the film, Director Ivan Ayr says, “Milestone is an illustration of an individual’s struggle to find relevance. I chose a truck driver’s perspective to highlight this struggle because I see something peculiar in the nature of the occupation…”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
