The six-episode web series, directed and produced by Amninder Dhindsa, is set in Chak 35, a village shaped by the aftermath of Partition. The story revolves around migration and the land conflicts that followed, told through deeply rooted emotions and authentic characters.

Speaking about his vision, Dhindsa shared, “YouTube is a medium that connects stories with the masses. About 50 per cent of our cast are non-actors, villagers and locals directly connected with these realities. Their raw emotions brought the story alive. One of the most powerful moments for me was when an elderly grandmother, who had never acted before, portrayed a scene of losing her son in the war with such truth that it moved everyone on set.”

The cast includes Butta Badbar, Pammi Bai, Gurinder Makna, Sunny Gill, Jass Deol and Bharti Dutt, with a panel led by Tota Singh Dina.

Actor Gurinder Makna, who plays a minister, said the trailer felt ‘absolutely real, not scripted’, praising the director’s technical brilliance.

Actor Butta Badbar, who plays Param, shared that around 70–80 per cent of the shooting took place in his own village, Badbar. Many of the villagers, mostly farmers, also acted in the series for the very first time, making the project deeply personal and memorable for him.

The web series Zameena Chak 35 Diyan will be released on September 10, exclusively on the Barrel Records YouTube channel.
