The state today reported 1,452 new Covid cases, taking the tally to 7.55 lakh. Besides, 89 more people succumbed to the virus, taking the toll to 8,221.

Ten deaths were reported from Hisar, eight each from Gurugram and Panipat, and seven each from Fatehabad and Bhiwani districts.

Meanwhile, 22,274 persons were vaccinated today.

In all, 7,26,081 patients have been discharged in the state. The recovery rate is pegged at 96.12 per cent, while the fatality rate is reported to be 1.09 per cent.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
