1,500 cops deployed in Jhajjar to stop farmers from going to Delhi

Jhajjar, November 25
Nearly, 1,500 police personnel have been deployed at various places in the bordering area of Delhi and adjoining districts in view of the ‘Delhi Chalo’ protest of the farmer outfits on November 26 and 27 against three farm laws.
In all, 11 inter-state nakas have also been set up on the bordering points to carry out vehicle checking operations from Wednesday midnight. Jhajjar is located on the border of Delhi and Haryana.
“As many as 1,200 cops have been deployed at various points in Bahadurgarh town while 300 others have been deputed in Beri town and Jhajjar city. 50 buses have been arranged to transport those who will take law into their hands. All preventive measures have been adopted to handle the agitation peacefully,” said Rajesh Duggal, Superintendent of Police, Jhajjar.
Meanwhile, Sandeep Khirwar, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Rohtak Range, accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Jitender Kumar and SP Rajesh Duggal took stock of the police arrangement at Rohad Toll Plaza and border points of Delhi in Bahadurgarh town here. After inspection, Khirwar said they were fully prepared to tackle every sort of situation.
DC Jitender Kumar said all inter-state and inter-district border points had been sealed in the district to maintain law and order situation. “Section 144 of the CrPc has also been imposed for preventing the assembly of five or more than five persons in the district. 14 inter-district nakas have also been installed to maintain peace,” the DC added.
