According to the complaint filed by the husband of the deceased, his wife was employed as an anganwadi worker in a village within the Bapoli area. He stated that she had recently been selected as a JBT teacher on May 7 in the Mewat cadre.

The husband alleged that Johny had been harassing his wife and had raped her. He allegedly recorded obscene videos of her and used them to blackmail her, threatening to have her removed from her job.

The harassment reportedly drove the woman to consume poison on May 19 and she died during treatment on May 21.

The accused shared the videos to his friends, asserting that Johny and his associates were responsible for his wife’s suicide.

Following the complaint, the Bapoli police booked Johny, Mohit, Sandeep, Amit and Sandeep under Sections 108 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

SP Bhupender Singh said Johny was arrested on Friday evening and produced before the court on Saturday.
