The CIA-1 unit of Kurukshetra police has arrested a miscreant and recovered a pistol and 5 live cartridges from his possession. The accused was identified as Sandeep Kumar, a resident of Bibipur.

Kurukshetra police spokesperson Naresh Kumar said, “On Friday, following a tip-off that Sandeep was standing in the parking of sector-10 with an illegal weapon, the team of CIA-1 reached there and recovered a pistol and live cartridges. A case has been registered. He was produced before a court which sent him to five-day police remand.”

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
