The police have arrested the second accused in connection with the murder case of Surender Kaur, alias Jelu Baba, who was killed by her nephew over a land dispute last month.

The accused has been identified as Gurusewak, alias Kala, a resident of Mohali. He was produced before a court, which sent him to two-day police remand.

Surender Kaur was killed by her nephew Gurpreet Singh and his friend Gurusewak. The accused had strangled Surender Kaur and then buried her body in her fields. Gurpreet was arrested earlier and Surender Kaur’s body was recovered on June 15. — TNS
