Sonepat, February 3
On a complaint from the office of the Divisional Town Planner (DTP), a case of violation of the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975, has been registered against 10 persons, including six women, of Delhi and Joshi Chauhan and Deepalpur villages of the district.
According to Arvind Dhul, DTP, Sonepat, unauthorised construction of shops and other buildings was being carried out to raise an illegal colony in an area of about three acres at Bahalgarh in the district. The constructions were demolished on Sunday and a complaint was lodged against the accused.
Meanwhile, a team of the Sonepat Municipal Corporation led by Building Inspector Anand Kishor sealed 11 under-construction houses at Liwan, Rathdhana and Barota villages which were being constructed without obtaining NOC from the corporation authorities.
The action was taken after residents of these villages lodged complaints to Deputy Commissioner Anshaj Singh about construction of houses without permission from the corporation.
