101 Hisar varsity students secure placements in Infosys

As many as 101 students of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST), Hisar, have secured placements in Infosys, marking the largest selection in a single drive in the university’s history.

The State-Level Diversity Pool Campus Drive, organised by the Training and Placement Cell of the university, witnessed the participation of 366 students from 25 government universities and affiliated colleges.

Vice-Chancellor Narsi Ram Bishnoi said the achievement reaffirmed GJUST’s commitment to providing world-class employment opportunities. Registrar Dr Vijay Kumar and Director (Placements) Dr Partap Singh congratulated students, faculty and volunteers for the achievement.

The selection process included a pre-placement talk and an online aptitude test on Day 1, followed by Technical and HR interviews on Day 2.

The drive, conducted by Infosys officials Shaan Vats (senior practice lead) and Harshdeep Batra (associate lead), tested candidates on mathematical ability, reasoning, verbal skills, pseudo code, puzzle solving, and English writing.

The selected 101 students include 38 from B Tech (CSE), 21 from BTech (IT), 24 from BTech (CSE-AIML), three from MCA, two from MTech (CSE), three from BTech (ECE), two from BTech (EE), one from MSc (CS-AI-DS), five from MSc (Mathematics) and two from MSc (Physics).
