Financial Commissioner Revenue, Dr Sumita Misra, today stated that all Deputy Commissioners and District Disaster Management Authorities (DDMAs) have been directed to remain on high alert and ensure the timely dissemination of weather warnings and safety advisories to the public in their respective jurisdictions.

Highlighting the government’s support for farmers, she said that the state government has operationalised the e-Kshatipurti portal till September 15 to facilitate systematic crop damage assessment and compensation for affected farmers. So far, 1.55 lakh farmers from 2,781 villages have registered 9.11 lakh acres for crop damage on the portal.

In Hisar, 23,733 farmers have registered 1.51 lakh acres, while in Mahendragarh, 33,036 farmers have registered 1.45 lakh acres as the area of crop damage. In Charkhi Dadri, 26,895 farmers have registered 1.37 lakh acres, while in Bhiwani, 21,428 farmers have registered 1.36 lakh acres.

Misra stated that 2,247 affected individuals have been successfully rescued and relocated to well-equipped relief camps established in Palwal, Faridabad, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Kurukshetra and Ambala districts. She highlighted that these operations are being conducted through coordinated efforts involving the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local administration teams.

SDRF units have been strategically stationed across seven districts—Palwal, Yamunanagar, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, and Faridabad—while NDRF teams are providing additional specialised support in Palwal.

Misra said the state government has sanctioned a total of Rs. 3.06 crore to districts as reserve funds for immediate relief measures in flood-affected areas. These funds will be used to provide food and clothing to affected populations, temporary shelters and tents for displaced families, fodder for livestock and other essential needs, transportation of relief material and dewatering operations in rural areas.
