As part of its ongoing drive to enhance urban cleanliness, the Rohtak Municipal Corporation has issued sealing notices to 12 more dairy owners operating on Kutcha Beri Road for illegally discharging cow dung and other waste into drains and sewer lines. Similar notices were earlier served on six other dairy operators for the same violations.

Municipal Commissioner Anand Kumar Sharma stated that the discharge of cow dung into the sewer system frequently led to blockages and overflows, causing inconvenience to the public.

He further emphasised that dumping solid waste, including cow dung, into drains and sewers was a punishable offence under the Municipal Corporation Act, as it resulted in sewer clogging, foul odour and environmental degradation.

Sharma also issued a warning to dairy owners who had been allotted plots in the Kanheli Dairy Complex but were yet to relocate. He urged them to shift their operations immediately, failing which, strict action would be taken in accordance with the law, and the responsibility will lie entirely with the defaulters.
