Twelve schoolgirls suffered injuries when their auto-rickshaw collided with a car on the National Highway-11 near Bhankhari village in Narnaul town here on Thursday.

The injured belonging to Dohar Khurd and Dohar Kalan village were rushed to the Civil Hospital in Narnaul. Some of them were discharged after giving first-aid. Condition of all injured is stated to be out of danger.

The mishap took place in the morning when the girls were as usual on their way to the school at Gaud village in the auto-rickshaw. As the auto approached the service road near Bhankhari, it was hit by a car.

After the mishap, the car driver abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. Later, the police reached the spot and took stock of the situation. The police were investigating the matter and no case was registered till the filing of the news report.
