Under the GRAP Stage IV violations, the traffic police had recently set up checkpoints at all Delhi borders. During this period, challans were issued to more than 7,000 owners of vehicles for violating the norms.

“The Gurugram traffic police not only issued challans to violators but also made every possible effort to identify the black spots and remove them. Five black spots were removed in 2024, due to which, more than 13 per cent of accidents and deaths in mishaps had been reduced in comparison to 2023. Special campaigns will be continued to ensure the compliance of traffic rules,” said Virender Vij, DCP (Traffic).
