In a special operation, the Nuh police have arrested 14 cyber-criminals, seizing 13 mobiles, 19 fake SIM cards and two ATM cards from their possession. The police have filed 11 FIRs against the accused, who were involved in a variety of online scams.

According to authorities, the criminals used social media to conceal their identities and deceive victims. Their scams included fake hotel bookings, sextortion, fraudulent claims of holding Mughal-era gold coins (ashrafis) and advertisements for taxi services.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Sahil, a resident of Kama in Rajasthan; Taslim alias Tassi, from Gopalgarh, Rajasthan; Sarik alias Gutari and Sarip, from Jurhera, Rajasthan; Manish, from Korli, Rajasthan; Parvez, from Khoh, Rajasthan; Musaib, from Bisru village; Sahil, from Bichhor village; Sohail, from Hirwari village; Sohil, from Jharpuri village; Ajaj alias Izaz, from Rigad village; Sahil, from Hathangaon village in Nuh district; and Asif, from Bisambra village in Uttar Pradesh.

The police operation took place across multiple locations, including Malab, Bisru, Ted, Khera Khalipur, Chanddaka, Nuh-Tauru road, the KMP Expressway and the Delhi-Mumbai expressway area. The accused primarily targeted victims in West Bengal, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana and Bihar. Authorities are currently questioning the suspects.
