Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa said 144 villages in the state had been identified under the Mahagram Yojana. Under the scheme, these villages will be provided with drinking water and sewage facilities similar to those in cities.

Gangwa said this while speaking at a felicitation ceremony organised in Arya Nagar village in Hisar today. During this, he not only heard public grievances but also gave directions to the officers concerned for resolutions.

The minister emphasised that the present government worked with a clear vision and the resolution of people’s problems. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative, he said the government was committed to ensuring clean drinking water in every household through 'Har Ghar Nal se Jal'. He also shared that a Rs 60 crore estimate had been submitted for a water and sewage project in Arya Nagar village. Efforts are underway to include Arya Nagar in the Mahagram Yojana. Nalwa MLA Randhir Panihar was also present during the event.
