Earlier, eight teams were constituted for the surprise checking of chemist shops misusing psychotropic drugs or dual-use drugs.

The raids were conducted at various villages and places of Kalanwali, Baragudha, Dabwali, Rania, Ellenabad and Sirsa city. Goel further informed that 15 samples have been taken from these shops and show-cause notices would be issued to the medical stores for violations under Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940.
