The drive, aimed at dismantling organised criminal networks, reflects the police’s precise intelligence, swift coordination, and technological edge. The latest actions in Ambala, Palwal, Sirsa (Dabwali), and Yamunanagar districts underline the campaign’s growing impact.
Major Breakthrough in Ambala
Ambala Police arrested four members of an interstate Iranian gang —kingpin Ghulam Abbas alias Rihana Razvi, Mohammad Khan, Akbar Miyan Sheikh and Asadullah Khan alias Kaliya. The gang was allegedly involved in over 105 theft and fraud cases across India. Police recovered four mobile phones, four SIM cards, and two scooters used in the crimes, exposing the gang’s vast network.
Drug trafficking crackdown
Dabwali Police nabbed three interstate drug peddlers with 256.13 grams of heroin worth Rs 1.25 crore. The accused were already facing multiple cases under the NDPS Act, murder, and Arms Act in Punjab and Haryana
Kala Rana Gang hit in Y’nagar
The District Crime Branch-2 arrested Manish Singari alias Mannu and Tarun Singari alias Tannu, members of the Kala Rana Gang, wanted in several cases including attempt to murder, extortion and fraud.
In Palwal, a joint STF operation led to the arrest of Chandrabhan, a rewarded criminal from Narwana, Jind, absconding in a 2024 murder case.
DGP OP Singh said, “Operation Track Down is an example of the state police’s zero-tolerance policy towards crime. Whether it is drug trafficking, murder, fraud, extortion, or cybercrime, every offender will be brought to justice.” He added that the campaign would continue “relentlessly until a crime-free environment is established across Haryana.”
