1,650 pupils appear for Super 100 level-1 exam at 7 centres in Karnal

KarnalAs many as 1,650 students from government schools appeared for the level-1 exam of the Super 100 programme at seven centres in the district. As many as 1,938 students had registered for the exam, out of which 85.13 per cent students sat for it. The selected students will be eligible for the level-2 exam, which is likely to be held this month.

Those who qualify in both levels will receive free coaching for JEE Mains and NEET entrance tests.

The state government will provide free education for classes XI and XII for the selected students, along with free coaching to help students crack competitive exams.

Dr Deepak Verma, District Science Specialist, said, “We made all necessary arrangements at the seven centres — PM-Shri GSSS, Karnal; PM-Shri GSSS, Assandh; PM-Shri GSSS, Indri; PM-Shri GSSS, Nilokheri; Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Nissing; Government Model Sanskriti Senior Secondary School, Gharaunda; and Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Gharaunda.”

The Super 100 programme was an initiative of the Directorate of Secondary Education, Government of Haryana, he added.

The scheme was launched for the students studying in government schools who lacked access to coaching for competitive exams like JEE and NEET.

The state government has entrusted Vikalp Foundation Trust with the responsibility of coaching the selected students. The trust operates its institute in Kurukshetra.

The government will provide all necessary facilities, including books, boarding, food, and other required materials free of cost, he said.
