“The district administration is taking appropriate action against those involved in illegal mining. No one, who will be found involved in illegal mining activities, shall be spared,” he said. To tighten surveillance, the administration has constituted multiple teams of district officials and installed eight nakas at strategic locations to monitor and intercept illegal transportation of mining materials.
Gupta added that two mobile teams, headed by the SDMs of Vyaspur and Chhachhrauli, have also been formed to ensure regular field inspections and rapid response to complaints.
He directed officials to intensify monitoring of mining areas and to act swiftly on any reports of illegal activity.
“Wherever complaints of illegal mining are received, officials from the mining department, along with the police department, should maintain a close watch. They should take action against those involved in illegal mining and should register FIRs against them,” said the DC.
He further instructed mining officials to maintain comprehensive surveillance over both legal and illegal mining operations in Yamunanagar.
