2 arrested for stealing mobiles from showroom

A team of Tauru CIA has arrested two men for stealing mobile phones and goods worth Rs 12 lakh from a showroom. Fifteen stolen mobile phones and a car have been recovered from their possession.

The accused have been identified as Rizwan, alias Rizzu, a resident of Adbar village, and Mohammad Sef, a resident of Hussainpur village in Nuh district. Another accused had earlier been arrested in the case. The fourth accused is still on large.

According to the police, some miscreants broke into a mobile showroom at Bawla Chowk of Tauru town and fled the spot after stealing mobiles and valuables worth Rs 12 lakh.

The incident was captured in CCTV cameras and an FIR was registered on the complaint of showroom owner Suresh Kumar Aggarwal.

The probe of the case was handed over to the CIA team.

While investigating, the team, led by ASI Dharmender, received information about two men who were going towards Sohna to sell stolen mobiles.

The police team put barricades on Bawla Chowk and arrested both accused with the car. “Upon searching the car, 15 stolen mobile phones were recovered. Another accused, Chand, who is also involved in the case, was arrested by the Sohna police two days ago in a cow smuggling case and sent to jail. We are searching for another accused,” said a spokesperson of the Nuh police.
