A day after farmers tried to stop the cavalcade of Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Department Kamlesh Dhanda in Kalyat and that of JJP MLA Ishwar Singh in Cheeka, the Kaithal police on Saturday registered two FIRs against unidentified persons.

Farmers had also shown black flags to Dhanda and demanded his resignation during a programme on Good Governance Day. Later, they had protested outside his residence in Cheeka.

Superintendent of Police Lokender Singh said two FIRs had been registered against under Sections 147, 148 and 341 of the IPC. — TNS
