The two-day 49th annual athletics meet of Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, was inaugurated on Wednesday. Dr Kuldeep Singh, the head of physical education department, said competitions in various events, including 50 metre and 100 metre races in men and women category, high jump, etc., were organised today.

The athletics meet will conclude on Thursday. “The players of our college have represented the college and win medals in intercollegiate, interuniversity and state competitions,” Singh said. MC Hisar Joint Commissioner Dr Preet Pal was the chief guest on the occasion. In today’s competitions, in men’s 100-meter race, Yogesh, Nikhil and Amandeep stood first, second and third, respectively, and in the women’s category, Vidhi, Neha and Pinky stood first, second and third, respectively. Aniket Sharma, Yogesh and Sahil stood first, second and third, respectively, in the high jump competition.
