Sarthak Maheshwari of Haryana and Mrinal Garg of Punjab are among the 14 candidates who have scored a perfect 100 in the engineering entrance exam JEE-Main 2022 session for paper 1 (BE/BTech), the results of which were declared by the National Testing Agency today.

Perfect 100 Telangana excels

  • Of the 14 candidates with perfect 100, four are from Telangana and three from Andhra Pradesh
  • One candidate each is from Haryana, Punjab Jharkhand, Assam, Rajasthan, Karnataka and UP

Of those with perfect score, four are from Telangana (Jasti Yashwant VVS, Rupesh Biyani, Aniket Chattopadhyay and Dheeraj Kurukunda) and three from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh (Koyyana Suhas, Penikalapati Ravi Kishore and Polisetty Karthikeya). Others on the list are Kushagra Srivastava (Jharkhand), Sneha Pareek (Assam), Navya (Rajasthan), Boya Haren Sathvik (Karnataka) and Saumitra Garg (Uttar Pradesh).

Among girls, Sneha Pareek scored perfect 100 while nine candidates registered above 99.98 (seven above 99.99 and two above 99.98). As many as 8,72,432 candidates had registered for the exam, as per an NTA statement. The NTA scores are normalised ones across multi-session papers and are based on the relative performance of all those who appeared for the examination in one session. After both sessions of the JEE (Main) 2022 examination, the ranks of the candidates will be released taking into consideration the best of the two NTA scores in accordance with the policy.

The examination was conducted at 588 centres in 407 cities, including 17 cities outside India in Manama, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu, Muscat, Riyadh, Sharjah, Singapore, Kuwait City, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos/Abuja, Colombo, Jakarta among others.
