The girls had reportedly reached the park after attending their computer class at an institute in Ambala City. Seeing them drowning, some people jumped into the pond, and pulled them out. They were rushed to the Civil Hospital, where they were declared brought dead.

With no suspicion raised by the families of the deceased girls, the police suspect it to be a case of suicide.

SHO Ambala City Suresh Kumar said, “Both the girls were 17-18 years of age. They used to attend a computer class in Ambala City. So far it appears to be a case of suicide. However, no suicide note has been recovered so far and the families have also not raised any suspicion.”
