“On December 22, we got a tip-off that two youths were standing, looking suspicious, with a bike having no registration number plate near a warehouse. Acting swiftly, the police rushed to the spot and asked the duo for documents of the bike. When the duo failed to produce any document, they were arrested,” said a police spokesman.

He added that during interrogation, the accused disclosed that they had stolen this bike from Sector 3 on the night of November 13. They also revealed that they had come there to perpetrate another crime. During interrogation, the accused confessed to having stolen two bikes each from the model town police station area in Rewari and Narnaul town of Mahendragh, one each from the government railway police and city police area in Rewari, he added.

The spokesman said later that six stolen bikes were recovered from the accused. After being booked for bike theft, they were produced before a local court, which sent them to judicial custody. Another youth who was also part of this gang would also be arrested soon, he added.
